NEURAL THERAPY

Method
Injections of local anaesthetic to treat pain
Duration
10 to 30 minutes per treatment
Course of treatment
3 to 10 treatments, depending on the condition

Neural therapy is a particular form of treatment in which local anaesthetics are injected specifically into painful areas or into interference fields. It can relieve pain, reduce inflammation and activate the body's own healing powers.

How does neural therapy work?

In neural therapy, small amounts of local anaesthetic are injected into specific points. These injections can be given directly into painful areas, into what are known as interference fields, or into reflex zones. The local anaesthetic blocks the conduction of pain and can improve the blood supply at the same time.

The treatment rests on the concept of interference field therapy, in which chronic foci of inflammation in the body are identified and treated. Such interference fields can cause pain in other parts of the body.

Neural therapy is carried out as a day case and is very well tolerated. The injections are barely painful and the effect can set in immediately or within a few hours. The treatment is matched individually to your symptoms.

The number of treatments depends on your individual symptoms. Typically 3 to 10 treatments at intervals of 1 to 2 weeks are recommended. The effect can last several weeks to months.

What we treat

Neural therapy can be used successfully for a range of orthopaedic complaints. Our experienced doctors develop an individual treatment plan for every patient.

Pain management

Targeted treatment of pain with injections of local anaesthetic. Particularly effective with chronic pain, back pain and joint pain.

Interference field therapy

Treatment of chronic foci of inflammation that can cause pain in other parts of the body. Particularly effective with pain in scars and with chronic inflammation.

Anti-inflammatory treatment

Reduction of inflammation and swelling with targeted injections. Particularly effective with tendon inflammation and inflamed joints.

Regenerative treatment

Activation of the body's own healing powers through targeted stimulation. The treatment encourages regeneration and improves the blood supply.
